William B Powell

POWELL, WILLIAM B. 77 - of Manahawkin, beloved husband of Lillian Doetterl Powell, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Kretzschmar of Collingswood, a son William Powell, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Collingswood, granddaughters Nicole Powell, Collingswood and Allison Powell, Pennsylvania, great granddaughter Sarah Maxwell, Audubon, stepdaughters Stephanie Chadwick and her husband William of Little Egg Harbor and Carey Wood, Wales, Great Britain. Bill proudly served in the U.S.M.C. during the Korean conflict. Began his career with the PA Railroad later becoming corporate tax manager for G.T.E. He was active for many years in the L.B.I. Kiwanis Club where he served as president. Bill was a devoted and avid Eagles and Phillies fan. Funeral services will take place on Friday 10/1/10 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin, between 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM and again on Saturday 10/2/10 at the Blake Doyle Funeral Home, Collingswood, between 9:00 - 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Bethel Memorial Park, Pennsauken. In lieu of flowers, donation to: Alzheimer's Association 400 Morris Ave Suite 251 Denville, NJ 07834.
