

Alan Francis Buzil, 24, of Howell, New Jersey, died May 31, 2019 as a result of complications following cancer treatment. He was born on January 10,1995 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Elliot Buzil and Valentina Bren-Buzil. He moved with his family from Brooklyn to New Jersey in 2000, attended Howell Township schools and graduated from Howell High School in 2013. He was currently enrolled at Brookdale Community College, pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
Alan was also known to his family and close friends as Allie, Al, Big Al and DJ Cloud 9. He was loved dearly by everyone he came to know. Friends and relatives describe him as kind, loving and selfless. Alan flourished building relationships and making memories with people he loved.
Alan had a love for animals and raised money during his Bar Mitzvah to benefit the ASPCA. He shared mutual adoration between his family dogs, Buddy (Bubba), Moses (Mo), Lucy (Nugget), as well as former family dogs, Buddy Sr., Jazzy and Lola.
While he enjoyed playing many sports over the years, lacrosse was by far his favorite. He recently passed down his love for lacrosse by coaching youth teams in the sport. Alan also had a love for music. He attended Sweet Music Academy and played drums alongside close friends in a band. He subsequently expanded his love of music by becoming a deejay, known as DJ Cloud 9, playing at night clubs, private events and more. Alan had a passion for cars and made many memories with friends who shared his affinity. He was well known for his favorite red Hyundai Veloster known as the “Blob” and more recently, his white Nissan Maxima.
Alan is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Isadore and Frances Buzil and his maternal grandfather, Anatoliy Tkalenko. Alan is survived by his parents, Elliot Buzil and Valentia Bren-Buzil of Howell, New Jersey; his brother Victor Danilchenko, sister-in-law Martha Velez, nephews Andrei, Xavier, Dante and Julian of Amherst, Massachusetts; his sister Annie Singer, brother-in-law Lorne Singer, nephew Nathan and niece Stella of Manalapan, New Jersey. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Maria Tkalenko of Ukraine. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Jackie Shalayda of Spotswood, New Jersey, as well as many close friends and relatives.
