Mr. Firestone is survived by his wife of 56 years, Claire Firestone; daughter Marcia Paltenstein and her husband Joe; daughter Julie Levine and her husband Brad; and four grandchildren: Jenna Paltenstein, Jason Paltenstein, Sammi Levine, and Priya Levine.
Alan was predeceased by his sister Patricia and his parents Benjamin and Pearl Firestone.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 followed by a committal service at 12:15 PM at Mount Sinai Cemetery, 374 State Route 79, Marlboro, New Jersey 07751.
For those who cannot attend the funeral service at the funeral home, it will be livestreamed on Zoom.
Shiva will be observed on Sunday at the residence of Marcia and Joe Paltenstein from 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM.
Shiva will continue on Monday at the residence of Alan and Claire Firestone from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM with a minyan at 7:00 PM.
