Bernard is survived by his daughter Ilene Cohen and her partner Barry Goldberg; daughter Ellen Flanzman and her husband Steve; sister Marilyn Kamenitz and her husband Morty; sister-in-law Barbara Sackaroff; grandson Jamie Cohen; grandson Craig Cohen and his wife Danielle; grandson Zach Flanzman and his wife Eleanor; grandson Scott Flanzman; and great-granddaughter, Hazel Flanzman.
He was predeceased by wife Rochelle Sackaroff; brother Robbie Sackaroff; and parents Samuel and Molly Sackaroff.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on February 11, 2026 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 immediately followed by a committal service at 12:30pm at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095.
Shiva will be observed on Wednesday after the burial at the residence of Ellen and Steve until 8:30pm. It will also be held on Thursday at the residence of Ilene and Barry from 1:00pm - 5:30pm and 6:30pm - 9:00pm.
