Beverly Nathan

Beverly Nathan passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, May 31, in Manalapan, NJ, surrounded by the people who loved her the most. She left this world with the same grace, courage, and positivity that she brought to every day of her life.

A Philadelphia girl at heart, Beverly was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia with her older brother and sister and her beloved parents, Gert (Goldie) and Marty. At just 15 years old, she met the love of her life, Barry Nathan. They married when she was 19 and recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Their life together started in London Terrace, NJ, where Beverly gave birth to her daughter and met some of her lifelong friends. Eventually, she moved to Manalapan, NJ where she had a son and lived with her family in a home that welcomed everyone. Beverly built a close-knit community and lived her life every day bringing people together through kindness and a selfless spirit.

Beverly’s greatest joy and most cherished role was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was like a second mother and aunt to so many, nurturing everyone around her with enduring love, generosity, and limitless sacrifice. She is survived by her devoted husband, Barry, her daughter, Julie Nathan and son-in-law Eric, her son Marc Nathan and daughter-in-law Marnie, her granddaughters Ellie, Leyla, and Jordanna and her grandson Chase, and her sister, Linda Goldfield.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. We will continue at Mount Sinai Cemetery & Mausoleum, 374 Hwy 79, Marlboro Township, NJ 07746. Shiva will be held at 10 Whirlaway Rd, Manalapan, NJ after the funeral until 8pm and on Wednesday 4-8pm.
