Carol is survived by her brother Bruce Rosen and his wife Leslie, as well as her nieces and nephews Sara and Herb August of Scotch Plains, Jesse and Bree Rosen of Jersey City, Jake Rosen of Washington DC and Emily Rosen of Cedar Grove as well as grandnephew Jude August and grandnieces Johanna August and Skye Rosen, as well as her step-nephew Adam Whitten and his fiancé Hannah Roden and step-niece Dana Whitten, all of New York City, numerous friends from her childhood, bowling leagues and her 35 years or so working at the New Jersey Law Journal in Newark, where she had many roles.
She was an avid bowler, loved Neil Diamond and the New York Mets. For a time in her teens she would attend Mets games and helped with the player’s kids so their wives could watch the games. She was the regular recipient of Christmas cards from many of the players in the 1970s. She rarely complained and always had a positive outlook. She was a sweet, pure soul.
Ms. Rosen was predeceased by her father Gilbert Rosen and her mother Janet Rosen.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol's memory may be made to the Special Olympics (www.specialolympics.org).
