Edward Krantz of East Windsor, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Son of the late Solomon and Estelle Krantz, he is reunited in death with his wife of 60 years, Diane, who passed away last year.
A proud Brooklyn native, the family relocated to Twin RIvers in 1978, where he remained until his death. Ed was known to be quite a character by his friends and family, particularly his inappropriate sense of humor. Following a career as a salesman in the rainwear industry that had him commuting to Manhattan for years, he found great pride in his retirement job as a temporary employee at ETS assisting students with disabilities get the accommodations they were entitled to on standardized tests. Had he completed his college degree he likely would have been a history teacher, which is exactly what his eldest granddaughter became. His proudest accomplishment was that he was able to provide for all of his children to get a college education.
He is survived by his sister, Rochelle Stern, three children Eileen (Doug), Wayne (Rachel), Lori (Bryan) and six grandchildren, Kylie, Max & Lizzie Krantz, Sean & Myles Fitter, and Stella Ethridge.
Funeral Services for Ed will be held Friday, May 29th at 9:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726. Burial will follow at Beth Moses Cemetery, 1500 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704.
