(Brooklyn), New York, Fred began his career at ADP before, in February 1982, founding Walton
Management Services, a company that he would passionately own and operate for 40 years. His
entrepreneurial spirit drove the business through decades of growth and change, and he took pride in the
impact his work had on his employees and community.
Fred’s dedication to building meaningful relationships marked his approach to life, whether it was with
colleagues, friends, or acquaintances at the local bank. He cherished these connections, always ensuring
that no relationship was too big or too small to merit his attention and care.
In his later years, Fred embraced his love for travel, exploring the world extensively for nearly a decade,
with his loving wife Linda Ferretti. Living by his favorite maxim, "Life is an adventure," he delighted in
sharing this journey through gifts and pictures sent home from various destinations, spreading his joy and
curiosity for life.
A lifelong fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, Fred’s passion for his team was only rivaled by his devotion to
his family. He is survived by his wife Linda, two daughters, Amy and Marni, and his grandchildren,
Hannah, Alana, Aaron, and Jared, all of whom remember him as a loving father and grandfather who
could always put a smile on anyone’s face.
A service to celebrate Fred's life will be held at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel on
Tuesday, April 16th at 11:00 am ET. A Jewish graveside service will take place at New Montefiore
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred's memory to the American Kidney Fund or
Morristown EMS. The family will sit Shiva at Linda Ferretti’s house on Wednesday 4/17 from 3:00 pm -
8:00 pm EST.
Fred Stiftel will be dearly missed and forever remembered for his limitless enthusiasm, his warm
generosity, and his unwavering commitment to the people in his life.
