Gerald is survived by his loving wife Ellen, his son Keith Scott Kaplan and his partner Mike Fitzgerald, his daughter Meredith Robyn Offenberg, and his three beloved grandchildren; Kara, Nate, and Drew Offenberg.
Gerald was a proud member of the Gordons Corner Fire company for 50 years and was elected Fire Commissioner. He was also elected Fire Commissioner in Monroe Township in 2008.
Funeral Services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels on Sunday, October 22nd at 3:00PM.
Cremation will be private.
Following the Service at the funeral home there will be a repast at the Gordons Corner Fire Company.
The family will be sitting shiva at Ellen's home on Monday, and Tuesday from 2-4pm.
