

A very special person, Helen was a glamorous, witty, fun loving woman who placed her family above all else. Her influence will always be felt and missed.
Prior to retiring, Helen ran the office for her brother’s law firm in Manhattan for over 20 years. Before that, she was the manager of a retail fashion store.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin; her son Alan; her twin sister, Ruth and brother in law Leo Hershman.
Surviving are her sons and family; Marc Abramson /Vivien Ortiz, of Dumont, NJ; Paul /Cheryl Abramson, of New City, NY; daughter in law Penny Abramson; brother, Samuel/Ellen Sporn of Brooklyn; grandchildren; Lindsay/Adam Arnold; Rachel/George May; Jonathan/Marina Abramson; Stacey Abramson and fiancé, Roman Perlov; Jennifer Abramson; and great-grandchildren: Addison Blake and Jordyn Elaina May. She was blessed with many close family: Shelley Abramson; Michelle/Bruce Tuchman; Sharon/Barry Hammond; Todd/Marlene Hershman; Jessica Sporn/Fred Cordero; Nina Sporn/Tim Smith; Joseph Sporn, and their many children and grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, 11am at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, followed by the burial at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY. The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Helen Abramson, 84 Peasley Dr. Marlboro, NJ; Saturday 2/2 from 6 until 8pm; Sunday, 2/3 from 12-8pm, and Monday, from 12-8pm on Monday.
