

He was a man of many talents starting at 7 years old playing the violin at Carnegie Hall. He achieved the rank of Second Lieutenant during WWII and received the Purple Heart with Cluster and Bronze Star. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge under General Patton. He rose from store clerk to executive Vice President of Royal Farms, a major New York supermarket chain, until his retirement in 1967. He was charitable and volunteered at B'nai Brith and the JWV. He loved his family most of all. He will be missed.
He was predeceased by his wife Anne and his sister Ray. He is survived by his two sons, Perry and his wife Andrea, of Boynton Beach, FL, and Leroy and his wife Lydia, of Hazelton, PA. Six grandchildren; Michael (Marcia) Beckerman, Laura (Mark ) Berger, Neil (Dara) Beckerman, Marcy (Jaron) Cohen, Allison (Keenan) Okolichany, and Patrick (Grace) Brunetti, and 11 great-grandchildren; Danny, Zack, Allison, Hailey, Taylor, Alexa, Brendan, Gavin, Maddy, Nora, and Lily.

Shiva will be Sunday after the service at 1612 Boynton Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090 and Tuesday and Wednesday in Florida at Perrys home.
