Jeffrey Donald Edelstein died peacefully on July 24 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold in the company of his family. Jeff’s greatest pride was his family and he will always be remembered by his loving wife Eileen Edelstein, his children Michele Spector and her husband Evan, Edward Edelstein and his wife Tracey, his sister Andrea Arnold, and his cherished grandchildren Samantha and Dylan Spector, and Zackary and Zoey Edelstein.
Jeff was born on December 31, 1943 in Manhattan and graduated from Hofstra University. Jeff and Eileen lived in Freehold for 47 years, and most recently moved 6 years ago to Monroe Township. Prior to retiring, he had a long career selling point of sale equipment for Burroughs Computers, NCR, ERS, PSC, and Data Checker.
Jeff had battled pancreatic cancer since this past December and had been in and out of the hospital and rehabs for the past few months. Just a few weeks ago we found out that the cancer progressed unexpectedly. Jeff was able to spend time with his wife, two children, his four grandchildren, his son-in-law, and his daughter-in-law, throughout the past few days in the hospital.
