Two years after Marcy's passing, I am just now learning of your loss. I met Marcy in 198I0 at Cedar Ridge High School, where she was my best friend during the two years I was a student there before moving to Massachusetts. Although we didn't maintain contact after I left, her friendship was something I continued to value for years afterward, as my time at Cedar Ridge would have been a lonely experience without her kind friendship. It was sweet to reconnect with her on Facebook two and a half years ago.

Marcy,  I will always remember you; As a thoughtful dedicated human being.  I hope that You are Happy & Peaceful where you are living.  Love, Milly

I just today, February 9, 2022, learned of Marcy's passing. Happy memories came. back.  Laughing at the racetrack with her dad, Marty ,and many other good times.  It's belated but I am really sorry to know of your loss.

I have been going to the Old Bridge Library for several years and had asked about not seeing Marcy & was told recently that Marcy had gone to heaven.  Marcy was such a sweet kind hearted  understanding person . We had a few things in common which we had talked about. Marcy, I still have the gift you gave me a few years ago & when I look at it ; it reminds me of you.   Miss seeing you at the library.  (R.I.P.) ✡️

To me Marcy will always be one of the sweetest, warmest, and most genuine of my childhood friends.  Every PS 95 memory has Marcy in it.  Every school play. Every dance festival. Every birthday party.  Every neighbourhood playground visit. I can still hear her voice and laughter.  My mom loved her and was so proud of her.  We’re shocked to lose her so soon and send all our love and sympathy. 

First, my condolences on Marcy's passing. I was very saddened to hear she had passed. 

I worked with Marcy at the Old Bridge Public Library for about 4 years starting in 2003, when I moved to New Jersey from Ohio for a job. She was funny, talented, and a very good friend.  I was glad our friendship continued after I left the library for another job, as well as when I left the state.

I'll always remember her passion for buttons, seashells, and her love for her cats.

Marcy was a very special, important, beautiful and wonderful person. And I'm happy to have great memories of her in my life when I was younger. Too many years have passed, but she, and the Kagen family, will always have a special place in my heart. Regardless of anything, Marcy will always be family and I love her, and you all, very much. Marcy and I worked at the Old Bridge Public Library for many years. She truly had a heart of gold and was super talented especially in her crafting. When I was a sixteen year old just starting at the library she was welcoming and helpful. I remember we would work in the periodical department together and any questions I had Marcy would always help me out. One time we both had somebody at the library that was not kind to us. Marcy said I saw your mom come in to talk to that unkind person and she shared that her mom came in and talked to that particular person too. We smiled and laughed about it because we knew our moms always had our backs no matter what our ages were. I am grateful to have known Marcy and she will be missed dearly. I worked with Marcy for many years and socialized with her out of work as well. She was a kind and thoughtful person who gave much to her community and the people who knew her. She will be greatly missed. 

Marcy and I worked at the library for decades.  She was a wonderful person and a great friend. Her love was the library and she was very dedicated. She helped hundreds of people to use the internet. She also shared her creativity and talents to set up beautiful displays. She also volunteered to decorate for summer reading programs. I will miss you Marcy.

Marcy and I watercolored together using FaceTime on Sundays. I worked with her at Old Bridge Public Library for four years. Marcy was a lovely creative person.  I loved her button collection and contrived some of my old buttons to it.  She was so happy when she was creating. I enjoyed her humor.  We laughed together many times.  My heartfelt condolences to all family and friends.  

Marcy was one of the kindest, big hearted people it has ever been my pleasure to know. Her brilliance at poetry, art and all kinds of puzzles is something that I think about often. Now you can rest, dear friend. 

Words are inadequate to express the sadness.  My thoughts are with all of you, Ellen.

Marcy was the glue that held our family together. We worked together for almost a year to put together a Leff family reunion. Even after the reunion we continued to work together on researching our family history. 

Recently during Covid we started painting together. She would text me and say, wanna paint via FaceTime? And I’d say sure what time is good for you and she would say whenever is good for you. And we will meet up through FaceTime talk and paint. She would laugh and say this way of painting was much more fun than when we went to painting with a twist last summer. 

Marcy was a very talented writer, when I lost my dog Snoopy she sent me a wonderful poem and picture about Snoopy. She sent me a children’s book she wrote about her two cats getting into her craft supplies and I have been creating illustrations to go with the book and then we were going to get it published.  Marcy just finished her retirement planning and we were looking into meeting up at a crafts retreat center when Covid restrictions were lifted. 

I’m going to miss her not only as my cousin but as my friend.

I worked with Marcy at the Old Bridge Library and we've been friends for 30+ years. I loved her creative spirit and was amazed at all the crafts she created. I also was impressed with her writing. She was a tremendous person. She was loved by all. She will be missed.

I worked with Marcy for many years at the Old Bridge public library. She was always making such creative displays. She had numerous collections to display at our library also. I will miss her thoughtfulness and creativity. She really loved the library and her job. May she rest in peace forever.  I will miss her always. She was a gentle soul and a good person. 

Marcy and I met 22 years ago, when I began working at the Old Bridge Public Library.  We quickly became good friends because we had so much in common:  a firm belief in the ability of the Library to transform lives (neither of us ever regretted our chosen profession), a love of animals, family members on the autism spectrum, a great fondness for everything Golden Girls.  We made tentative plans to go to the Rue de la Rue Cafe in Manhattan, but sadly, it closed before we could make the trip.

Marcy and I laughed a lot together.  I remember her laughing, her great stamina and determination to work through her health challenges, her remarkable creativity (which I admired but did not share), her numerous hobbies.   And although time passed, and our careers and lives forged different paths, and we didn’t keep in touch as often as I wish we had, we still remained friends.  Still.  Because a friendship such as we shared doesn’t fade.  It will always, always exist.
