

Renee lived in New York City until she and her husband, along with their two young children, settled in Aberdeen, NJ. Eventually, Renee and Andy moved to Marlboro where she lived out her life. She was pre-deceased by her husband Andrew Sackerman June, 2020 and her son Alfred Sackerman November, 1968 as well as her parents, Selma and Harry Corn.
She is survived by her daughters: Pamela Sackerman and Melissa Glick. Renee is also survived by her grandchildren: Bradley and Abby Glick, and Irina and Svetlana Pauley as well as her great granddaughter, Bella Ramirez.
Renee was a graduate of New York University where she received her Bachelors degree in Economics. She got her teaching certification from Hunter College and her Masters degree in Math education from Kean College.
As an educator, Renee was employed by the Matawan Aberdeen Board of Education as a Teacher. After years as a general elementary education classroom teacher, she transitioned into the role of Math specialist, teaching Basic Skills math district wide.
Renee was an active member of the Monmouth County Jewish community. She and Andy were amongst the founding members of Temple Shalom of Aberdeen and she was a Past President of The National Council of Jewish Women.
Amongst Renee’s pastimes were her passion for Bridge, most notably Duplicate, a game she actually played in the 55+ Communities Bridge Olympics. She was a terrific Mah Jong player and an avid reader.
Memorial Service for Renee will be held at Temple Shalom, 5 Ayrmont Lane, Aberdeen Township, New Jersey on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM with a Shiva Minyan to follow at 4:00 to 5:00 PM. The family will sit Shiva at the home of Pamela Sackerman on Monday and Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
