Born in Bayonne, NJ, he lived in East Brunswick for 35 years.
Mr. Dvorin was a Police Officer with the New Brunswick Police Department for 28 years, retiring in 2004.
He served in the Airforce during the Vietnam War as a Military Police Officer. Mr. Dvorin volunteered as a veteran counselor for UMDNJ’s “Vet 2 Vet” Program. He served as a Past Commander for the Lt. Seth Dvorin JWV Post #972 in Marlboro, NJ. He was a member of the Jersey Coast Sport Flyers a Model Airplane Club and the Tri-County Model Airplane Club.
Mr. Dvorin was pre-deceased by his parents: Harry and Ruth Dvorin and his son Lt. Seth Dvorin in 2004. Surviving are his companion, Ellen Sutton, his daughter Rebekah Dvorin, his brother Howard Dvorin and his two grandchildren, Seth Jaiden Dvorin and Amber Newell.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave, Manalapan, NJ. Interment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ.
