Families tend to sometimes grow apart and lose touch with one another after years.  That never happened to me with my dear cousin Richie. No matter where Richie lived,  I always heard from him. Our "get together" dinners in Florida, when he visited Aunt Lena (his mother) were always special!

Richie was a vibrant person full of personality, and he is definitely a member of the Rosen Family, who will be missed very much...But always remembered!

Rest in Peace, my dear cousin!

Next to my wife, Randi, my father is law has been my favorite person, for almost 30 years. There are so many reasons why I so deeply admired and cherished him that I couldn't possibly list them all here . He was a great listener, he gave great advice, he had a HUGE heart of gold, he put other people's feelings ahead of his own, and he ALWAYS did things with only the very best of intentions. Even when he made mistakes and went through hard times, he still kept his chin up and always gave everything his all. I will always remember the trip Randi and I took to Florida to see him, 12 years ago. He was there alone visiting so we got to spend allot of quality time with him.  I remember how much he made me laugh. I also remember how he teased me and had REMINDED me of his rule, shortly before I married his daughter.  He said, "Remember, once you get Randi down that isle, there will bee NO RETURNS allowed"! I get a kick out of remembering when we used to play racquetball together. Even though I was 25 years younger than him, I could never, ever beat him. Not even once.  I won't ever forget how lucky I am to have been able to call him "dad", because calling him my father in law just wouldn't be enough. I don't think there will be one day ahead of me where I will not think of this incredible and special man. May he be rest in peace, knowing how much I will always feel an immense and very deep love and respect for him.

I was so saddened to hear this bad news!  I met Richard at Merrill Lynch many years ago.  I followed his career throughout our days at Merrill.   I still remember a presentation he gave in the auditorium at Merrill in Princeton.  He had the whole room hysterical and at the same time made his message very clear.  In recent times, we re-connected as he tried to help with a selection process we designed by adding his expertise in sales.  He and Joan came to our restaurant, Classico Tomato Pies, several times.  Richard loved to eat and loved the food.  He was a kind, intelligent and funny guy.  You will be missed Richard- RIP.  My heartfelt condolences to you Joan and the whole family.

Dick and I spent an unforgettable year working together for Joe Davis in midtown in 1975.  Then Dick and I and our wives spent a full day driving around Haleakula (?) volcano on the Island of Maui at one managers meeting a couple of years later.  Had to be one of the funniest days of my life.  He was one of a kind and as I read his daughter's message I'm not surprised at the love and respect she had for him. I had those same feelings.  I wish I could have spent more time with him, I shall miss him.  He was a wonderful guy!

I got to know Dick from our years together at Merrill Lynch. I was the Midwest kid and Dick possessed the “street smarts” someone like me sorely needed within a big firm like Merrill Lynch. Extremely smart-minded as a business person on the job, no one could be funnier than Dick away from the office. He was always willing to share his business experience, and was generally right on the money. Hearing of his passing has brought a tear to my eye but also a smile thinking of the many funny stories and times I shared with Dick in years gone by.

There was never a time in my life when I didn't think my dad was the warmest, funniest, most genuine, unselfish, greatest man I ever knew. I feel truly blessed that I was his child. Our father daughter bond was very strong and very special to both of us.  I have received so many calls and texts from friends I knew 20, 30 & 40 years ago, telling me how my dad changed their life in one way or another and what an amazing person he was to them. Everyone of them has a great story to tell about him. It makes me feel warm inside to know how many lives he genuinely touched throughout his life.

 Anyone who knows me, knows how much he meant to me. I know he will be watching over me until we get to see each other again. I'm sure by then I will have allot of great stories to tell him so that I can talk his poor ears off like I usually enjoyed doing. But until then, I will think and remember my Daddio, each and every day, and never forget how special he was.

Ritchie is really beyond description in a few lines..maybe a large hardback or better yet a very colorful comic book!!! ...known Joan and Ritchie for 45 years and traveled with them to several countries and islands!!! WOW!  What a ride! Ritchie and I were “birthday twins”!!!!
Sure will miss talkin’ to him on 7-29!  In the South, he would be discribed as “the gen-u-ine 
article”.....you will be missed, Ritchie.  ♥️♥️♥️
