Seymour Degenshein

Seymour is survived by his daughter Paula Lewkowicz; son Jeffrey Degenshein and his wife Krissy; granddaughter Michelle Lewkowicz and her fiancé Jaime Beja; grandson Joshua Lewkowicz and his husband Javi; grandson Daniel Lewkowicz; granddaughter Kayla Degenshein; granddaughter Maddison Degenshein; grandson Jakob Degenshein; and great-granddaughter Sophia Beja.

Mr. Degenshein was predeceased by his wife Henrietta of 62 years in 2016; son-in-law Steven Lewkowicz in 2015; sister Rita Zarchan; brother Irving Degenshein; and his parents Philip and Molly Degenshein.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 immediately followed by a committal service at 12:30 PM at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095.

The funeral service was previously livestreamed via Zoom.

Shiva will be observed at Paula's residence on Wednesday following the burial until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM; Thursday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM; and on Friday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. There will be a minyan service each day.
