Dr. Steven Eisler

Born in Newark, he lived in Union for 45 years before moving to Monroe Township in 2000.

Prior to retiring in 2000, Dr. Eisler was an Optometric Physician with a private practice in Union for many years, and later as part of Eye Physicians and Surgeons of NJ, Union. He received his BS from Villanova University and his doctor of optometry from Penn State College of Optometry.

Dr. Eisler was a World War II Navy veteran, who was appointed to the Naval Officers Training Program.

Surviving are his wife Phyllis Tabb Eisler; his son Eric Eisler and his wife Aimee of Bethesda, MD, and their children: Adin and Gabriel Eisler; his daughter Stacey Eisler and her husband Richard Danziger of Edgewater, his children Philip Danziger and Eli Danziger and his wife Mariell and their daughter Reese; and 2 brothers: Gilbert Eisler and his wife Joyce and Philip Eisler and his wife Roz.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 27 at 11 am at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, followed by burial at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
