Steven is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rhona Press; daughter Ganessa Press and her partner Jack Dempsey; daughter Merin Powell and her husband Adam; son Matthew Press and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren Logan Press, Mason Powell, Brayden Powell, Toby Press, and Toni Press; sister-in-law Marilyn Press; and brother- and sister-in-law Ken Myers and Lori Altman; as well as his cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.
Steven was predeceased by his brother Michael (Mickey) Press and their parents Edward and Sophie Press.
Steven loved watching wrestling and rooting for his beloved New York Mets, and was known for his unique sense of humor and his generosity, which he exhibited in many meaningful ways.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Mount Sinai Cemetery and Mausoleum, 361 Highway 79, Morganville, New Jersey. The service will take place in the mausoleum.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Rhona and Steven on February 16 following services and on February 17 from 4:00 to 8:00.
