A year and a lifetime later. The people of the Gerritsen Avenue Co-op think of Steve often, especially during the summer months, around the pool. Today, our thoughts and prayers are with his mom, brother and other friends and family members.

Steve was always my concert buddy! We went to all the country concerts that were free at the world trade center every Thursday in the summer. We also went to the free concert at the band shell by Coney Island. We went out to eat many times! he had a great love for music and knew every artist and what year they wrote the song, and lots of information about them. We also took a trip recently to the museum of natural history in Manhattan. We loved to go to the Japanese restaurant by his house often as well as roll and roaster! He was a great friend of mine and will be very missed!

We are very sorry to hear about Steve's passing. He certainly fought hard these last few years. It was a pleasure to live across the hall from him at 2265.  You and your family will  be remembered in our prayers.

I am in shock. I worked with Steve my entire teaching career at PS 77.He was such a genius in the area of music and tv trivia. He was the kindest person I ever known and loved his students. He will be terribly missed.

Period of Mourning         The Period of Mourning will be observed at the Residence of Marlene weinstein as follows:  Sunday following the burial until 10:00 PM, Monday 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
