Sylvia A. Kaplan

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Solomon and Lillian (Dunn) Goldstein, her step-father Julius Krulewitz, her sister Jill and her husband of 68 years, Bernard who passed in October 2019.

Sylvia is survived her son Stephen I. Kaplan (Adrien); son Richard Z. Kaplan (Bonnie); daughter Myra K. Gildenberg (Doug) and seven grandchildren.

Sylvia earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Douglass College. She was an active participant in her synagogue and the Jewish community for many years.

A graveside service with immediate family followed by a burial will be held Monday, August 3, 2020. Family will be sending out information about Zoom Shiva calls to be held Monday and Tuesday night.

The family is requesting that any donations be made in memory of Sylvia to organizations dear to her: Torah Fund and NJ Audubon Society.
