Born in Vienna, Austria, he fled the Holocaust, immigrating to New York in 1941.
Mr. Fischer was pre-deceased by his wife Marilyn in 2000. He is survived by his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Frank & Jacqueline Fischer of Farmingdale, Clifford and Debra Fischer of Howell, and Glenn Fischer of Freehold, his daughter and son-in-law, Penny & Edward Otte of Allentown, his sister Helga Cohen of Tamarack, FL, and his 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Kimberly, Wesley, Alana & Joshua.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels in Manalapan. Interment will follow at Congregation Agudath Achim Cemetery in Freehold.
