Angela Antonia Macek

Born in Manchester on August 17, 1926, she was the daughter of Martin and Maryanna Kuk. Cookie was a lifelong resident of Manchester and was a communicant of St. Hedwig Parish. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Guild at St. Hedwig.

Cookie was educated in Manchester, NH. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary’s College, and practiced as a pediatric nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Cookie was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, John F. Macek, MD. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Macek of New York City, Margaret Macek of Boston, John Jr and his wife Martha Macek of Worcester, MA, Edward and his wife Stacey Macek of Milford, MA, and James Macek of North Attleboro, MA; four grandchildren, John Macek III of Boston, Maryellen Noonan of Kensington, MD, Catherine Dempsey of Sudbury, MA and Alexander Macek of Milford MA; as well as 1 great-grandchild, John Macek IV.

A visitation will be held from 9am to 11am on Saturday, November 13th at McHugh Funeral Home located at 283 Hanover Street in Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm at St. Hedwig Church located at 147 Walnut St in Manchester. Burial to immediately follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery located at 70 Old Bedford Rd in Bedford.
