

Kimberly Ann Herod of Bedford passed away February 7, 2014 at home with her loving parents by her side after battling cancer for a short period of time. She always remained positive throughout her illness and had hoped to overcome it.
Born in Manchester on March 2, 1981, she was the daughter of Franklyn and Marlene (Wietecha) Herod. She was a very loving daughter.
Kimberly graduated West High School, class of 1999. She went on to Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY and graduated in 2003. She also graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. She was always upbeat, happy and ready to challenge anything.
Family meant the world to her and also loved dogs. She was employed at Northeast Broadcasting for several years and truly enjoyed her job.
Family members include her Mom and Dad; her maternal grandmother, Wanda Smagula; her paternal grandmother, Mary Herod; several cousins whom she loved and had fun with. A special cousin, Wendy Canuel was like a sister to her.
Calling hours were on Monday from 4 to 8 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 180 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed and memorial donations may be made in Kimberly’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Tribute Program, PO Box 100, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
