

Leo A. Doiron, 86, died April 16, 2011 at the Laurel Center in Bedford. Born November 1, 1924 in Manchester, he was the son of Leandre and Caroline (Michon) Doiron. He lived most of his life in Manchester.
Leo delivered telegrams by hand in the Manchester area for Western Union and worked at the Carpenter Hotel, Macy’s, the Police station, and St. Patrick’s Church as a custodian. For a period of time he worked on a family dairy farm in New York.
Mr. Doiron was a communicant of the former St. Theresa Church. He is known as the family historian and he loved his family, taking photographs and keeping in touch with his relatives. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle. His three year old great, great grandniece said it best what most everyone thought of Leo “he is a kind man”. Leo was honest, hard working and loving and will be truly missed by his family.
He is survived by his sister, Doris Desfosses and a brother Roland Doiron, both of Manchester as well as nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a sister, Irene Miller and a brother Albert Doiron.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
