Maurice E. Boisvert, Sr., 87, of Goffstown, passed away on February 13, 2018 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on May 23, 1930 the son of Fortunat and Estelle (St. Hilaire) Boisvert. He grew up in Manchester and was educated in the local school system.
He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he was employed as a machinist at the Seal Tanning Company for many years. He was also employed at the Sullivan Tire Company. He was married to the love of his life, the former Cecile M. Cote, on January 26, 1957 and together they shared 36 years of life and love until her passing in 1993. Maurice was a hard working man whose family always came first and to say he loved life wouldn’t begin to explain him. He loved getting together with family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son Maurice E. Boisvert, Jr., in January.
Members of his family include his sons Michael Boisvert, Sr., of Goffstown, Mark Boisvert of Bedford and Marty Boisvert and his wife Alysa of Show Low, AZ, his grandchildren Michael Boisvert, Jr., Christopher Boisvert, Natasha Boisvert, Kasha Boisvert, Dillon Boisvert, Allyn Boisvert and Angelyne Boisvert, numerous great-grandchildren, his sister Yvette Caron of Bedford as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday February 23 from 5 to 8pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Funeral Service was celebrated on Saturday February 24 at 10 am in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private.
