Nancy J. Predaris, 80, of Manchester, died February 13, 2018 at the Concord Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born in Old Town, Maine on January 16, 1938 the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth (Williams) Dunn. She grew up in Milford, Maine, was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Old Town High School.
She was employed as a retail sales associate at the Anderson-Little Company and also as an administrative assistant at the Charter Trust Company. She was an active lady who enjoyed trips to Old Orchard Beach and was gifted with a green thumb which she demonstrated when tending to her numerous plants. She was an avid reader and loved being challenged each night while watching Jeopardy. Nancy was an award-winning cook and taught all of her grandchildren to follow in her footsteps. She loved getting together with her family and friends and will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend.
She was predeceased by her daughters Kandace Laliberte and Cynthia Veilleux.
Members of her family include her loving husband of 48 years, Peter Predaris of Manchester, her daughters Kalliope Predaris also of Manchester and Karen Tousignant and her husband Dave of Northwood, her son Jimmy Laliberte and his wife Donna of Bedford, her nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, her sisters Helen Hill and her husband Robert of Paradise, Texas and Alice Miles of Stillwater, Maine, her brothers Kenny Dunn and his wife Crystal of Levant, Maine, Rodney Dunn and his wife Florence of Luftkin, Texas and Thomas Dunn of Old Town, Maine, her brother-in law Jack Montgomery of Bangor, Maine as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday February 16 from 4 to 7 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester with the Trisagion Service held at 6 pm. A Funeral Service was celebrated on Saturday February 17 at noon at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church 111 Island Pond Rd. Manchester, NH 03109. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Nancy’s name be made to the American Cancer Society 2 Commerce Dr. Suite 110 Bedford, NH 03110.
