
Phyllis was born in Manchester, NH on March 31, 1935. She attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School, St. Joseph’s High School for Girls, and graduated from Notre Dame College, all located in Manchester, NH.
She then went to work at the local Morris Plan Bank before starting her career in the telecom business in 1959. She worked in management for New England Telephone & Telegraph, NYNEX and then Verizon before she took early retirement in 1985 to care for her mother.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Oscar Richard and Nora Cecilia (Sullivan) Adams, her sisters Dorothy Dahlstrom of San Francisco, CA, Virginia O’Loughlin of Jaffrey, NH and Betty Jane Vigneault of Harrisville, NH as well as her brothers Wayne R. Adams of Southington, CT and Richard O. Adams of Wilton, CT. Phyllis is survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was a voracious reader of books and loved doing crossword puzzles. She was also known and loved by all for her “wicked” sense of humor.
There will be a burial service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Chapel, 448 Donaldson Street, Bedford, NH on Wednesday, June 3 at 11:00 am.
