

Rita Ann Jaret 78, of Manchester died October 30, 2011 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 6, 1932 in South Bend, IN the daughter of Glae and Naomi (Ridenour) Landis. Raised in Logansport, she was educated in the Indiana School System.
Rita had a passion and a talent for dancing and traveled throughout the United States as a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray Dance Studios. After relocating to Manchester in 1964 to raise her family, she was employed at Bee Bee Shoe and as a print processor at Moore Business Forms.
She was an avid reader, especially westerns and was a history buff with a special interest in the Civil War. Her favorite novel was “Pride and Prejudice.” She also enjoyed playing board games and was unbeatable at Chinese Checkers.
Members of her family include her two daughters Michelle Graham and her husband Charles of Manchester and Nicole Mendola and her husband Sam of Bedford, five grandchildren Ian Graham, Darcy Graham, Thomas Mendola, Samuel Mendola and Noloni Mendola, a brother Dan Landis of Oceanview, CA, and her three sisters Joyce Lee Naftzger and her husband Richard, Pam Odom and her husband Robert and Carla Wilson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Vicki Collins.
An hour of visitation was held on Friday November 4, 2011 from 6 to 7PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel.
