

Ronaldo G. Lavallee, 89, of Hooksett, died December 14, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on March 1, 1925 the son of Oscar and Tharsile (LeBel) Lavallee and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City relocating to Hooksett several years ago. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Goffstown High School.
He was a proud veteran of the US Army during World War II serving in the Military Police and was a member of the Henry J. Sweeney Post #2 and the Catholic War Veterans Local #1624. Ronaldo enjoyed working with his hands, was self-employed as a master carpenter and was a master gardener. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was predeceased by his brothers Roger Lavallee, Robert Lavallee, Paul Lavallee, Donald Lavallee and Normand Lavallee and by his sisters Lorraine Raymond and Rita Poirier.
Members of his family include his wife of 63 years Rachel (Provencher) Lavallee of Hooksett, his son Normand Lavallee and his wife Susan of Goffstown, his ten daughters Elaine Lavallee, Denise Lavallee, Paulette Emrich and her husband George, Rachel Steele and her husband Bill, Phyllis Tremble and her husband Steve, Christine Lavallee all of Manchester, Cecile Lavallee and her partner Anne of Appleton, ME, Jeannine Emrich and her husband Leo of Hooksett, Vivian Howard of Trinity, FL and Celeste Lavallee of Concord, his 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, his brother Oscar Lavallee of Manchester and his five sisters Jeanne Cere and Constance Langlois both of Manchester, Claire Boisvert of Hooksett, Doris Croteau of Hampton and Dorothy McQueene of Pittsburgh, NH as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There were no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was be celebrated on Thursday December 18 at 10AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 172 Belmont St. in Manchester. Urn burial with military honors followed in St. Augustin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations in Ronaldo’s name be made to the Community Hospice House 210 Naticook Rd. Merrimack, NH 03054. The family has entrusted the McHugh Funeral Home with his care.
