

Theresa D. “Terry” Desruisseaux, 76, of Manchester, died October 30, 2012 at the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center after a brief illness. She was born in Manchester on June 29, 1936 the daughter of Louis and Anna (Lamarche) Puglisi Sr. and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School.
Terry loved children and was self employed for many years as a daycare provider. She was very skilled in arts and crafts and made many knitted creations for her family. She was a Nascar fan, enjoyed a good game of Bingo and trips to Foxwoods. She was an excellent cook and loved get-togethers with her family and friends but most of all will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her granddaughter Cacey was the true love of her life.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Lucien Desruisseaux in February 2001 and by her brother Albert Puglisi.
Members of her family include her daughter Lisa Desruisseaux and her spouse Lisa Giuffre of Manchester, her granddaughter Cacey Desruisseaux also of Manchester, her three brothers Gaetano “Guy” Puglisi of Manchester, Louis Puglisi Jr. of FL and William Puglisi and his wife June of Londonderry, her sister Marie Gosselin and her husband Roger of Manchester as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday November 2, from 4 to 7PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday November 3 at 10AM in Blessed Sacrament Church 14 Elm St. in Manchester. Committal followed in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Terry’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
