

Victor F. Beland 82, of Manchester died on April 17, 2011 at the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Waterbury, Ct on October 21, 1928 the son of Ernest and Beatrice (Brunelle) Beland. He was educated in the Waterbury School System and relocated to Manchester after his discharge from the Navy.
Victor was employed for many years at Seal Tanning and Jac Pac Foods and following his retirement was employed at Hesser College and Stop & Shop.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and held membership in the Manchester Fish & Game Club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and taking walks with his cat Murphy.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 57 years Mildred Beland in 2005.
Members of his family include his son Donald Beland of Goffstown, his daughter Darlene Tremblay and her husband Daniel of Manchester, his three grandchildren Dawn Woodin and her husband Lee and Michael Tremblay and his wife Alicia all of Florida, and Kim Tremblay and her fiancé Dave Murray of Manchester, his five great-grandchildren Michael and Melissa Woodin both of Florida, Cody Tremblay and David Murray Jr both of Manchester and Sabella Tremblay of Florida and his three sisters Terry Martineau and her husband Pete, Alice Saindon and Ruth Champagne all of Manchester.
Calling hours were on Friday April 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St Corner of Beech St. A Funeral Service was held On Saturday April 23, 2011 at 10AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Victor’s name to the American Lung Association of NH, 145 Hollis St. Unit C Manchester, NH 03101.
