Betty Baird, 94, of Manchester went home to Our Lord Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she moved to Kearny when she was 2. Betty was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kearny and then Lakehurst United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George, in 2001 and by her brother, William Douglas Howatson. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Martha Baird of Dallas, PA and Douglas and Sandra Baird of Marmora, NJ; a sister, Ellen Scheel of Levittown, NY; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Janet Howatson, and several nieces and nephews.
