Dorothy J. Garrabrant

Dorothy Garrabrant, 89, of Manchester Township, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Perth Amboy, raised in Perth Amboy & Avenel, she lived in Sewaren and Brick before moving to Manchester 27 years ago. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, making puzzles, attending theater and flower shows, cruising and spending time with her family.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Walter, her parents William and Helen Peterson and her siblings William (Bill) Peterson and Douglas Peterson.

She is survived by her six daughters, Deborah Notte and husband Gary, Pamela Tune and husband Robert, Linda DeStasio and husband Richard, Patricia Garrabrant, Brenda Vari and husband Keith and Donna Garrabrant, her devoted grandchildren, Martin Notte, Kimberly Koltcz, Jennifer DeLeeuw, Brian Notte, Melissa Olsen, Lisa Rigby, Heather Rash, Chelsea Bresnick,, Kristyn Garrabrant, Tara Bresnick, Julie Bresnick and Cody Parrish, 20 great grandchildren, her dear sister in law Joan Garrabrant and her dear friends.

A Visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, December 29th at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester Township, from 2-5 pm. A Funeral service will commence at 4:30 pm. Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 30th, 11:30 am, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle, NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ. Family and friends will be meeting at the funeral home at 10:15 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Dorothy, to either St Jude’s Children Hospital (Stjude.com/donate) or Autism Awareness, (www.POAC.net).
