James A. Piscatore

James A. Piscatore also known as Jim, born March 7, 1939, passed on May 7, 2026, at the age of 87. Jim was born and grew up in Jersey City, NJ. It was also where he met and married his high school sweetheart Pat. They lived there for two years after they married and then moved to Ridgefield, and then lived in South Plainfield for 30 years before moving to the Renaissance in Manchester in 1999.

While living in the Renaissance, Jim was one of the founders of the Renaissance Rebels Softball team, one of the premier teams in the league. He also started the Olympics in the development and was a member of the Italian American Club, the Bocce Club, played cards and was a big golfer. He was very active and enjoyed watching all sports. One of Jim's favorite past times was playing stickball with his friends behind the ShopRite in Manchester.

With sports being a main factor in Jim's life, he received his master's degree in education and worked as a Physical Education Teacher for many years for the Jersey City Board of Education and coached baseball and softball at Ferris High School.

Jim was the original Girl Dad, before it was even a thing, and would do anything for his girls, from his wife to his two daughters, to his granddaughter, who was the light of his life. He will be missed by his family and his Rebels family as well.

Jim was married for 63 years and was a devoted husband to Patricia "Pat", a loving father to Laurene Piscatore and Alicia Bolton and cherished PopPop to Emma Rose Bolton, each of whom carries forward the love, dedication, and steadfast example that shaped their lives.

He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Filomena Piscatore, his brother, Michael and his sister, Mary.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation for Jim at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on May 19, 2026, from 2 to 4 and 6-8 pm.
