

Joyce MacNair Greenwald, 85, of Manchester, NJ, passed away on Thursday June 9, 2016, at Green Acres Manor in Toms River, NJ. She was born and raised in Glendale (Queens) New York on November 23, 1930, the daughter of Alma and George MacNair, Jr. She had one brother, Dr. Donald S. MacNair a retired Pathologist living in Lubbock, Texas. Educated at Richmond Hill High School and an English major at NYU Downtown. She was president of the Junior League of Long Island and after marriage to Frederick T. Greenwald she moved to Old Bridge, NJ, where she was active in the GOP as a Committee Woman and worked on the polls. She was President of the GOP Club in Old Bridge and worked as a medical office manager for several specialists in the area and was Secretary for the Elks Auxiliary in Old Bridge. Joyce was a trained Soprano and sang with many groups and choirs as a soloist. While living in Cape May County after Mr. Greenwald’s retirement Joyce worked for several lawyers and was a poll worker. After Mr. Greenwald’s death Joyce lived in Cedar Glen West and sang in the chorus and was Secretary and then President of the former Bird’s Club, a member of the former travel club and member of the Lakehurst Presbyterian Church.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Frederick in 2000. Joyce is survived by her 6 beloved children; Walter Greenwald of Brick, NJ, Marion Barnett and her husband Gene of Prattville, AL, Scott Greenwald and Kathleen of West Long Branch, NJ, Nancy Hasty and her husband Marvin, of Orlando, FL, Jane Marino and her husband Sal of Jackson and Alyson Woll and her husband Richard of Jackson, NJ. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren; Nickolas, Richard, Andrew, Lauren, Tanya, Eric, Amanda, Matthew, Gina, Tara, Jennifer, Keith, Christopher, Yvonne and Bianca and her 12 great grandchildren; Parker, Cole, Aubrey, Delilah, Ashley, Drake, Ella, Olivia, Sydney, Alexandra, Danielle and Ally.
Visitation will be held at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on Saturday June 18, 2016, from 1-3 pm, with a Funeral Service to take place at 3 pm.
