Lillian G. Ford, 97, of Georgia, went home to her Lord on Sunday March 17, 2019, with her grandniece Natalie by her side. Born in Laurel, Maryland, Lillian lived in Elizabeth and Newark before moving to Rahway. After Rahway, Lillian resided in California, Florida and then finally Georgia, her state of choice, where she settled and then retired.
Lil was predeceased by her parents Robert and Estelle James Ford, her brothers and Sister David Bryant Ford, Iverson Ford and Lottie Mae Carter, and her nephew William Carter Jr. She is survived by her nieces Lillian G. Carter Brown (Nathaniel) and Mabel Kofi, her grand nephews and niece; Nathan Brown (Michele), Natalie Grace (Michael), Lance Brown, Matthew Kofi and Jason Kofi and her great grand nieces and nephews; Hannah Brown, Dezmund Hunter, Dezeree Hunter, Jordan Carter Brown and Skylar Mae Brown.
Aunt Lil liked to walk and enjoyed being a nurse, which was her calling in life to look after people.
A Memorial Service celebrating Lillian’s life will be held on April 27, 2019 at 4 Pointe Circle, Jackson, NJ, 08527.
