Paul D. Ott passed away on 11/04/25 at the age of 90. Paul was born at home on 01/01/1935 in Belleville and continued to live there where he met and married his wife of 68 years, Jackie (née Waits) Ott. They raised their family in Belleville & Freehold before moving to Ocean County. Paul enlisted in the Army and was a member of the 82nd Airborne, 508 parachute infantry regiment 1953-1955. His goal was to work for the telephone company and climb poles. Joining the Army allowed him to reach that goal. Upon leaving the military Paul began his career with NJ Bell/Bell Atlantic from 1955-1994. He ended that career as a Manager, being remembered by many employees as an excellent boss. He was also an avid golfer and a member of the Lacey Golf Association. Paul is remembered by his family as a hard-working family man. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Belleville, taking on shifts at the hall, helping friends with various projects and assisting his children with whatever construction job they had going on.
He is predeceased by his parents, Denton and Margaret, his wife Jackie, and their grandson Nicholas Ott. He is survived by daughter Chris, son Stephen, his wife Debra and granddaughter Julia, her wife April & great grandchildren, Xuna & Violet.
Services will be held at B.G. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd. Wrightstown, NJ on 12/1/2025 at 12:30pm in the Chapel.
