

Born on May 25, 1936, in Synelnykove, Ukraine, she came from generations of German settlers in the Black Sea region. While living in Ukraine, during WWII the family fled as the Red Army advanced driving out all Germans in the country. They settled in the town of Schmillinghausen, Germany and several years after the war the family was granted permission to immigrate to the U.S. Tamara worked several jobs throughout her lifetime while living in Paterson, Hawthorne and Rye, NY, eventually retiring in Lakewood, NJ. She was exceedingly generous, enjoyed cooking, had a talent for decorating, was outgoing, adored her grandchildren, and was highly involved in her church.
Tamara is the loving mother of Steven and his wife Linda, and Cynthia and her husband Chuck. Cherished grandmother of Brandon and his wife Laurie, Kevan and his wife Nichole, Phillip, Christina, and Lisa and her husband Tyler, and great grandmother to Stylar and Matthew. She was predeceased by her sisters, Lillian Belbey, Ingrid LoManto, Rosie Heimann and brother, Hans Heimann, and her parents Jacob and Albina Heimann.
Services will be private. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd. in Manchester, NJ is in charge of the arrangements.
