
Alice A. Walker, 88, of Ontario, died Wednesday morning March 16, 2005 at Oak Grove Manor after an extended illness. Born November 6, 1916 in Richland County, she was the daughter of Lewis and Gertrude Smith Rinehart. She was a member of the Ontario United Methodist Church. Mrs. Walker was very active in the church, and was a past member of the choir. She was also a member of the Ladies Circle and Quilter's Group.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Judy Walker of Marion; one daughter-in-law, Paula Walker of Columbus; grandchildren, Ron Walker, Jr. of Marion, Rick Walker of Marion, Rob Walker of Columbus, Kim Web of Columbus, Shane Walker, Todd Walker and Chad Walker, all of Mansfield; four great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and one brother, Vaughn Rinehart of Statesville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death in 1976 by her husband, Robert E. Walker, whom she married March 8, 1941; her parents; two sons, Thomas and Theodore Walker; two brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday March 20, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday March 21 at the Ontario United Methodist Church with Rev. James F. Winkler and Rev. Dennis Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Ontario Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alice Walker Scholarship Fund or the Ontario United Methodist Church.
