
Angela Ferrone Johns, 99, previously of Mansfield, died Friday morning, January 13, 2006 at Trinity Community of Beavercreek, Beavercreek, Ohio. Born September 22, 1906 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Giovani and Caterina Buono Ferrone. She retired from Dominion Electric after 25 years of service. Mrs. Johns was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Ruth Chapter #17, the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem-Naomi Shrine #10, Bellville Eastern Star Chapter #291, and the American Business Women's Association.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Rex Strine of Dayton; three grandchildren, Roxanne Ed Borders of Palm Desert, California, April Brion Parcell of Bellbrook, Ohio, and Dr. Scott Julie Strine of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Norma Ferrone of Parma Heights; three sisters and brother-in-law, Catherine Beduhn, Viola Hennie, both of Rocky River, and Mary and Marion Pendleton of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60+ years, Hildreth 'Hammy' Johns; her parents; three brothers, Nick, Earl, and John Ferrone; and two sisters, Lucille Lovell and Stella Tinter-Casey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Rev. David L. Turner of Central Christian Church of Kettering, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. An Order of Eastern Star Service will be held during calling hours at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
