
Anton 'Tony' Stagl, 82, passed away Thursday evening, December 16, 2010 at his home. Born January 4, 1928 in Sakula, Yugoslavia, he is the son of the late Helen Ludwig and John Stagl. He came to the United States in 1950 at the age of 22. Tony was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a lifelong member of the Liederkranz, where he served as trustee. Tony retired from the Mike Volk Company and had also worked at Charles Hoffman Company.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Magdalena 'Magda' Schmidt Stagl; son, Edward Alyce Stagl of Berea; daughter, Lorie Rick Rollins of Mansfield; and six grandchildren, Mike, Dan and Jim Stagl, Brian Erin White, and Brittany and Brennan White.
Friends may visit from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield where Vigil Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 104 W.
