Barbara R. Roessler, 67, of Mansfield, died early Saturday morning, November 8, 2003 at SCCI following an extended illness. Ms. Roessler was born July 21, 1936 in Mansfield residing in the area most of her life, before retiring in Sebring, Florida the past six years. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and Kent State University. Ms. Roessler previously taught at Mansfield St. Peters School, Lucas Schools and Crestline Schools. Barbara was an avid golfer and loved to play bingo.Surviving are two daughters, Roberta A. Gerhart of Mansfield; and Rebecca L. Roessler of Cleveland Heights; one grandson, Jordan B. Gerhart of Mansfield; and sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Jack Baker of Ocala, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. and Corinne High Young.There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday November 9, 2003 from 4-7 p.m. at Mansfield Liederkranz Hall, 1212 Silver Lane. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
