Betty Church

Betty Church, 92, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Born December 5, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George H. and Sarah Burris Dinsmore. She retired as a secretary clerk at General Motors, but her first job, which she loved, was in Washington D.C. on the Board of Trades. A Christian woman who saw the beauty in everything, she was a true believer. In 1974, Betty moved to GreenValley, Arizona where she made her home for 25 years. She moved back to Mansfield in 1999 and lived the last four years of her life with her niece, Sarah. A dare devil, Betty was very giving and enjoyed reading, especially westerns. Betty was an excellent cook.

She is survived by niece, Sarah Clifford; niece, Lucie Marie Schneider; nephew, Robert Dinsmore; great nieces, Sally Storm and Julianna Marlow; and several great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George 'Bill' Church; daughter, Sarah Susanna Rabal; her parents; brother, Phillip Dinsmore; and sisters, Almeda Gabb, and Mary Schneider.
