She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merle Lutz; brothers, Richard Wiggins and Bill Wiggins; granddaughter, Roxanne Beaire; and great-grandson Xyamien Beaire.
She is survived by her five children: Judy (Jessee) Moore, Joyce (Jim) Lewis, Debby (Larry) Austen, Tonya Cooper (Ron Coleman) and Tim (Tara) Beaire; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; one brother, Don (Marge) Wiggins; and sister-in-law, Dorothy (Richard) Wiggins.
Betty worked at Westinghouse for 21 ½ years, where she made many lifelong friends, including friend Aggie Howard. Betty loved music and was a self-taught musician. She could play the piano, organ, accordion, and harmonica. She spent many hours entertaining family at home with her music and doing the same with friends and co-workers at local establishments around Mansfield.
She loved to be surrounded by flowers; collected angels and dolls and loved having her picture taken. Along with her husband, Merle, she spent many enjoyable years camping and fishing at Lake Erie and taking the family out on their pontoon boat.
Betty’s greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren and she always expressed her love for everyone. She will be greatly missed by us all.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m.Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh, Ohio. A special thank you to Tara's Floral for the arrangements.
