Beverly Martin

Beverly I. Martin, 68, of Mansfield, died early Saturday morning, December 21, 2013 at her home. She was born August 2, 1945 in Willard, Ohio to the late Ruth Lillian Gilmore Owens and Barton "Hap" Owens. Beverly retired from Mansfield Memorial Homes in September 2013 where she began her career as a nurse aide and ended as the nursing supply manager.

Her fun loving, caring nature made her an awesome mom to her four children. She adored her family and spoiled her grandchildren every chance she had. Beverly's lawn was always decorated for the seasons and her home was easily identifiable by her attention to the details of dressing her lawn.

She is survived by four sons, Mark, Mike, Max and Matthew Martin; two grandchildren, Emily and Timmy Martin; a brother, Robert (Alice) Owens of Willard; two sisters, Barbara Shaver of Boston, MA and Maggie (Jay) Barnett of Willard; two sisters-in-law, Jean Fast of MA and Wilma Harris of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max G. Martin and two brothers, Bart and Joseph Owens.

A private family visitation will be observed. A graveside service in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to assist the family with arrangements.
