

Cameron Tyler Hammond, age 24, died early Friday morning, May 4, 2012 from injuries sustained in a tragic auto accident. Born September 21, 1987, in Mansfield, he was a graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School, Class of 2006.
Cameron attended North Central State College and was employed at Embarq. He was an active member of Lincoln Heights Baptist Church during his youth. Cameron was excited to spend time at his aunt’s lake house and golfing in his spare time. He enjoyed family vacations to Canada and Lake Erie.
Cameron is survived by his mother, Laura (Michael) Brining; step father, Bob Reid; brothers, Bobby, and Brian Reid; sister, Morgan Reid; and step brother, Shawn Michael Brining; grandparents, Linda and Herbert Shrewsberry; grandmother, Portia Liles; step grandparents, Robert B. Reid “Bumpa” and Margie and Doug Knapp; aunts and uncles, Gene (Patty) Snook, Sandy (Ross) Simms, Jenna, Robbi and Wendy; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; best friends, Brice, Tory and Jake; and his beloved dog, Kane. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Liles; and great grandparents, Ray and Thelma Shrewsberry and Anna Morgan.
A memorial service celebrating Cameron’s life will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in Lincoln Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Wilson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made at any Mechanics Bank for a scholarship fund being started in Cameron’s name.
