

Carol G. Rogers, 90, of Ashland, died October 10, 2015. Born January 18, 1925 in Ashland, she was the daughter of John Henry and Anna (Gill) Greshner. Carol married Gilbert B. Rogers, partner of Gilbert Furniture Company, on October 4, 1946. Carol attended Ohio Univeristy, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi for three years before later transferring to Ashland University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English in 1968. For 63 years, Carol was a member of Garden Study Club, where she won numerous awards. She was also a member of Amicae Annos Society. She loved arranging flowers, tennis, golf, travel, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and was one of the first women elected to the Church Council at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her children, Dr. Thom Rogers of Austin, TX, Barb (Steve) Denbow of Atlanta, GA, Phil (Joan) Rogers of Alexandria, VA; and Steve (Joyce) Rogers of North Royalton, OH; grandchildren, Scott Denbow, Ryan Denbow, Cadie Clark, and Scott and Kevin Rogers; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Avery, Elsie, William, and Anna Kate Denbow and baby Clark due in February; nieces and nephews, Rick Spreng, Sherry Howe, Dave Spreng, Ann Ferguson, Jim Ferguson, Roger Simmons, and Peggy Surdyk.
Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert B. Rogers who died October 3, 1989; and sister, Dorothy Spreng.
Carol will be forever missed and forever loved.
A gathering will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center Street, Ashland. A private burial will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
