
Chester A. Stacy, 80, of Mansfield, went to be with Jesus and his babies early Monday morning, July 19, 2010 at Hospice of North Central Ohio. Born September 26, 1929 in Morehead, Kentucky, he was the son of Iva Kinder and Oll Stacy. He was formerly employed as a mechanic at Montgomery Ward. Chester took excellent care of his family, and was a very hard-working man. He was proud of his Kentucky roots and was a devoted husband to Eulane. Chester was always willing to share his faith in Christ and enjoyed the fellowship with others at Taylortown Community Church. He enjoyed collecting coins and watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Delphia "Eulane" Barker Stacy; five sons, Allen Stacy, Phillip Evelyn Stacy, Jeff Deborah Stacy, Kevin Stacy and Scott Jessica Stacy; one daughter, Deborah Orandged Jr. Evans; five brothers, Clayton Stacy, Hubert Betty Stacy, Earl Betty Stacy, Glenn Stacy and Roy Glenda Stacy; fourteen grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant twin sons; and sisters, Louella Lambert and Loretta Hickerson.
Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Doug Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
