

Darlene grew up on Walker Lake Road and attended Mansfield Senior High School. She was a wonderful artist, both in drawing and creating beautiful sewing items. Crafts were her pastime and Darlene was always making special treasures for her children's homes. Being outdoors was something she immensely enjoyed. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ.
With her family as her top priority, Darlene worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful home for her children. She also worked at and retired from the Mansfield Campus of The Ohio State University. She enjoyed baking and gardening.
Darlene is survived by five children, Teresa M. Bays (Billy Lee Sr.), Robin R. (Kim) Elliott, Michael K. (Traci) Stallings, Randy J. Stallings (fiancée, Opal Phillips), and Michelle L. Baughman (fiance', Randall Wenzel); twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Charlene Bond; three nieces and one nephew; and a special friend, Randall "Buddy" Wenzel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marjorie Pittman Delph; husband and best friend, James A. Fenton, whom she married on June 25, 1976; grandson, Cody Stallings; aunt, Lilie (Roy) Robertson; and special friend, William Miller.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service conducted by Elder John Desterhaft will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
